Buying
As a buyer attending one of Gateway Auction Ltd's sales you can be assured that our experienced team offer the up most professionalism to help you through the process.
Our equipment is sourced from high profile quality operators both nationally and internationally. These include national plant hire companies, international manufacturers, governmental agencies, financial houses and private companies.
Terms and Conditions of Sale
Viewing
Lots will be able for viewing the day prior to the auction between 09:30 and 16:30
Deposit
A cash deposit of £500 along with photographic identification will be required for buyers to receive a bidding number. Deposits will be refunded if no purchase is made. The deposit will be deducted from the total amount of your invoice.
Buyers Premium
A buyers premium of 10%+VAT will be charged on small tools in the building and 5%+VAT will be charged on all lots in the yard areawithout exception.
Export Buyers
All export buyers must inform the cashier at the time of registering. Gateway Auctions will hold the full VAT amount on the goods as a bond. Upon receipt of the relevant documentation and/or certification we will refund the VAT in full either by sterling cheque or sterling telegraphic transfer.
Order of Sale
The sale starts from rostrum 1 at 9:30 with the small tools sold in our purpose built sales room. A second rostrum will start with the larger plant at 12:00 to be sold from our main sales yard. Buyers must be aware that from 12:00 there will be 2 rostrums selling simultaneously from 2 different areas.
Payment
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, bankers draft, telegraphic transfer or credit/debit card. Please note that there is a 3% surcharge for paying by credit card. Debit card: no charge. If paying by cheque the goods may only be taken from our site once we have cleared funds.
